This topic has a lot of value to anyone out there that is new or those of you that use the internet daily. After speaking to people that I encounter in my daily outs to coffee shops and what nots, sometimes conversations start and people ask what my line of work is and so I start sharing that I happen to work with websites. It is during these convos that I realize that people don’t have a clue of what the type of website they are using or what it is really for.
It is for this reason that I want to share with you some insight of the 3 main website styles that are out there. And as a reminder to you, just because you are able to search and find interesting websites, be aware that some sites are used as a means to collect only data from you or could be fake sites that misdirect you to spammers.
Here is a list of the 3 Main Website Styles
- Informational Websites: This type of website is usually a digital resource designed primarily to educate visitors, answer questions, or share facts about a specific topic, organization, or service without selling products directly online.
Its key features aim at:
- Content Focused: Uses text, images, videos, and guides to deliver clear knowledge.
- No direct e-commerce: Does not include shopping carts or online payment processing for goods.
- Simple navigation: Features structured menus, search bars, and clear pages like Home, About Us, and Contact.
- Trust building: Establishes credibility and authority for businesses, schools, or public agencies.
